Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage Announces Additions to Its Leadership Team

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently announced promotions, additions and transfers for Cori McQueen, Polly Purnell-Norris, Vicki Sturgill, Sherri Pickard, Carol Averitte and Kimberly Sands.

After a successful career in the restaurant industry, McQueen joined the company in 2011 as an agent and has always been one of the top producers. She was promoted to management broker for the Carolina Beach offices.

McQueen will oversee operations and provide support and guidance to vendors at company offices on the island.

Besides her success in real estate, she has a foundational role and sits on the board of the Steve Haydu St. Patrick’s Lo Tide Run which provides support for individuals and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Purnell Norris

Purnell-Norris has been appointed managing broker of the Wilmington/Autumn Hall office. Purnell-Norris began his real estate career in 1996 and previously owned and operated two real estate companies. She joined Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage as Associate Director in 2019 after moving to the Wilmington area and was later promoted to co-manager of the Autumn Hall and Midtown offices.


Sturgill will continue in her role as Associate Director of the Wilmington/Autumn Hall office, but will expand her functions by providing additional programs and support to all agents. She joined Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in 2012 as a temporary broker in the Southport office.


Pickard, a former broker co-manager of the Autumn Hall and Midtown offices, will fill a newly created role of business coach. Recognized for her exceptional coaching and business planning skills, Pickard will work with agents in all Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage offices.


Averitte joined the firm in 2014 as Chief Broker for the Southport and Oak Island offices and brought with her the skills and knowledge of a lifelong career in real estate. Since then, she has been involved in opening and managing three other offices in this region – Downtown Southport, Boiling Spring Lakes and St. James. She will assume the position of Chief Broker for the Midtown and Downtown Wilmington offices.

Sands will assume the role of management broker for the Southport, Oak Island and Boiling Spring Lakes offices. She was one of the top producing agents in the Raleigh area before joining Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in 2016 as the head broker of the Carolina Beach office. Among other accomplishments, she led the company through a merger in that market and more than tripled the number of affiliate agents there. Sands is an Oak Island resident and her knowledge of the area combined with her real estate expertise will be beneficial as the Brunswick County area continues to grow.
