Bulgarian stock indices close higher, Allterco leads winners
SOFIA (Bulgaria), Oct.28 (SeeNews) – All Bulgarian Stock Exchange (ESB) indices closed in positive territory on Thursday, supported by a 6.04% gain in shares of IoT product developer Allterco [BUL:A4L].
Allterco was the first winner among members of the premier SOFIX index, the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded stocks on BSE, and the BGTR30 index in which companies with a free float of at least 10% are of equal weight.
SOFIX gained 0.30% to 577.36 points. The BGBX40 gained 0.69% to 133.55 points, while the BGTR30 rose 0.70% to 648.56 points.
A total of 11,092 Allterco shares changed hands at an average price of 18.9225 lev on the floor of the Sofia Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed Thursday’s trading session up 0.04% to 160.50 points, mainly due to a 1.03% increase in the price of the action of Balkan and Sea Properties REIT [BUL:BSP].
Total turnover in the main exchange market fell to 790,209 lev ($ 471,700 / 403,900 euros) on Thursday, from 2.1 million lev on Wednesday.
The most traded company on Thursday was the Bulgarian-Sofia Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] – the operator of the Sofia stock exchange himself. Up to 28,112 BSE shares traded 2.89% higher at an average price of 8.9333 LEV, contributing 251,100 LEV to daily turnover.
ESB said on Wednesday it was abandoning plans to acquire a stake in local investment firm Capman and would consider other growth opportunities. Last week, the operator of the stock exchange proposed to its shareholders to approve the acquisition of a stake of up to 45% but not less than 40% in the capital of Capman for a maximum of 5.7 million surveys in order to achieve synergy between the multilateral trading systems of the two companies.
